The Christmas Picture Fiasco

With as hard as it is to take a picture with the two of us and the two dogs, I definitely have empathy for large families with kids! We tried using treats and for the final picture had their favorite toy tied to a string,(which is visible in the picture!) Oakley was drooling and we were both a little irritated with the whole process. At last, we finally got a picture that we could use.

5 Months and Counting!

We are so excited to know that we are having a girl. We have decided to name her Katie Madison. We went into the hospital last Saturday, because I started having contractions and of course freaking out. Everything was fine, just Braxton-Hicks, but we were relieved to have someone else verify that for us. I am really starting to feel her kick, and at 20 weeks Taylor finally felt her kick. The nausea has pretty much gone and my appetite has really kicked into high gear, so watch for ever-increasing photos of my belly:) Merry Christmas to everybody!

Three months pregnant. This was the last day of wearing my non-maternity dress pants. The rubber band just wasn't working anymore!

Week 17 . . . only 23 weeks to go!

Well I started showing at 14 weeks and have continued to stretch out. I have felt a few tiny kicks, but have to be perfectly still to feel them. We find out if the baby is a boy or a girl November 15th and can hardly wait. I am really excited to start shopping for the baby. We are due April 10th and I am hoping to keep teaching through CSAP testing (a major state mandated test for Colorado schools) in mid-March and maybe Spring Break at the end of March. We'll see what the baby decides though, cause we probably won't have much say in the matter:) My nausea is somewhat lessening, but I never hit the magic day of energy and feeling good. My weirdest craving was definitely the night of potato salad and pancakes, man it tasted good!
