Cape Cod

At Cape Cod and thoroughly enjoying ourselves! The kids are worn out and I have napped, done a Beth Moore study and still have time to post some pics and write down what we've been up to so I don't forget.

 The house we rented is awesome! There was a cancellation, so we got a steal of a deal on an amazing "cottage." All vintage and super cute.

 I was so excited when I found this shirt. Pink, sparkles glitter and it says "Cape Cod Girl" which is a part of a poem we used to say growing up. "Cape Cod girls, they have no combs, they comb their hair with Cod fish bones.  We had t-shirts we made with puffy paint that said that growing up:)

It has been so amazing to pass on all the traditions and memories I have from growing up onto my kids.  I remember driving over the Sagamore bridge, finding shells, running down the dunes and roasting s'mores. The kids could not have been better behaved on the trip out.  We had so much luggage and got a lot of hilarious looks.  The kids were so excited to be flying on the plane and were shouting "we're flying!" It felt like we were in a Peter Pan movie.  They listened and played quietly.  Gray napped and slept at all the right times.  We did get totally lost trying to follow our GPS into the cottage.  We ended up driving on a dirt road in someone's driveway and had to stop and ask for help. 

The guys just got back and caught 4 fish...off to hear the tale of adventure!

it's raining it's pouring

We have had some amazing weather this week. We had hail and rain for 2 hours in a row one night.  We never get weather for that long.  It is usually moving way too fast. The kids loved picking up the hail.  Katie kept calling it little eggs.

6 months

We are halfway through Grayson's first year.  It seems like I keep waiting for him to get harder, or fussier and he keeps trucking along with his sweet mellow personality.  He did cry and fuss off and on the other night for around 2 hours. Some gas meds and a full diaper settled him right down though. He seems to give me half the nights a full nights rest and the other half he's up once to eat. I really can't complain though. He is our little observer. Loves to watch what's going on around him. Has a cute little giggle, but makes you work for it.  Loves any food that we put on his tray.  I tried giving him a cup with a straw today and he had no clue what to do with it.  He liked chewing on it though. We just finished Vacation Bible Blast at church and he was a trooper. All the helpers commented on his sweet personality.  He took pretty good naps and let Mommy play with some big kids for a change. Looking forward to the next 6 months little one!
